What to propose

Send a short outline of the question your piece will answer, why it matters to a general reader, and the main points or examples you would explore. Suitable subjects include street form, building details, public spaces, transport connections and the history behind familiar urban features. We especially welcome distinct angles rather than broad overviews.

What makes a strong pitch

Keep the proposed piece focused, explain how you would support factual claims, and be clear about whether you are offering a new draft or an idea.
